UNION CIRCLE — In true spooky spirit, the Mussallem Union has joined with the rest of campus in putting on costumes and celebrating Halloween. But you won't find the Union imitating ghosts or leprechauns- instead, the beloved campus building pulled an infinitely classier move by dressing up as the Elephant's Onion, campus' favorite news source.
When asked about its choice of costume, the Union responded by saying "We all imitate what we admire, and I admire this site and the students who created it. Their humor and ingenuity should inspire us all. Plus, the Elephant's Onion is even more reliable than Banner Web!"
Peer-reviewed analyses indicate that the Elephant's Onion is the campus newspaper with the biggest FANbase. After all, you are reading this article right now.
Most students who responded to requests for comment were big FANs of the move, saying the Union's costume was "incredibly based", "a bro move", or "hotter than a Rosetop running SolidWorks." One tour guide contacted had been fooled by the costume and introduced several prospective students to the "most edible building on campus." The Mussallem Onion has modestly accepted all this praise for its FANtastic costume.
The ECE department couldn't be reached for comment; sources indicated it was cowering in shame from having its costume so outclassed.
